Firstly let me say I am not rich. Secondly yes the place is pricey. It is going to cost you to get a meal. For myself and my husband the bill was just slightly over 200.00. Now, with that said...every damn penny we spent was worth it. The food is amazing, the staff even more so. Each table has two attendants. Ours were Josh and Ryan. They were attentive without hovering and very personable.
The steak was not worth what I paid, they cooked it wrong the first time. Then replaced it with a steak that was 1/3 fat. Asked me what I would like for a side to go with my dish, gave me a list of options I chose french fries. When we got the bill we came to discover the french fries were an additional $12 for a single potato. I don’t understand the logic of four orders of french fries equals the price of a steak. The service was fantastic, but I don’t see the merit and paying $200 for two people for a meal that’s not even as good as Longhorn steakhouse. You have to be a fool to visit this place on a regular basis, or just have to much money in your pockets and it’s to heavy to carry.
This is my second time here. My wife and I came here for our 1 year anniversary dinner and everything tasted amazing. The clothesline bacon with burning rosemary really gave a scented atmosphere that extra touch. That and the popovers are the best way to start the meal. And the aged prime rib is amazing and it never fails to impress. Not cheap but worth it for a yearly celebration.
Thanks for reading Kevin Desmarais :)
Boyfriend and I loved this place. The steak was out of this world and the service was great. He loved the bread and I loved the complimentary cotton candy they give after the meal. The prices are high but worth it. We will be coming back. HIGHLY recommend!!!
We weren't dressed to the nines. Nothing about us read "big tip". We got no less attention than the couples sporting big hair and designer labels. Kudos to them and David Burke Prime for having stellar food and hiring only the best.
It was good, but way over priced. I've had just as good quality steaks at much more reasonably priced steak houses. A glass of wine costs almost as much it would cost for a bottle at most other restaurants. I wouldn't mind if it was a much superior product, but it simply wasn't. I think because people pay so much for the meal, a lot of them convince themselves that it was great. Sadly, it wasn't.
